This year it has taken me longer than usual to get through all of the pictures from the Congress. That last batch has just been put to the back burner as other jobs came up and took priority. But I was finally able to complete the last batch a few weeks ago. So now the galleries are completed.
The 2014 edition marks the 12 anniversary of this event and the 10th year that I have photographed the Congress. This dance congress was the first Canadian Salsa congress that I remembered back in 2003, and if you are interested in see what the past congresses looked like – please check out the galleries on my website. When I first started, the event was just known as the Canada Salsa Congress - it was basically non-stop Salsa all 3 days and 4 nights long. With the rebrand a couple of years ago – it became the Canada Salsa & Bachata Congress.
From the latest information on the new website – this was the last year that the event will be held at the Sheraton Centre Hotel – it will be moving to the Royal York Hotel for 2015.
But back to this year's images:
Thursday evening started off with the 8th Annual DanceFeet Canadian Salsa & Bachata Championships.
Then we move onto more competitions on Saturday afternoon.
Of course, what's a congress without the evening performances from an International cast of dancers.
And the best part - the after parties
If you want to see the rest of the images or wish to purchase a license for any of the photos from the 4 night and 3 day salsa congress - they can be viewed and purchased here.
Thank you for your support.
