Olympus OM-D E-M5 goes to the Airshow
This past weekend (June 2 & 3) was the 4th annual Waterloo airshow. This event took place at the Region of Waterloo International Airport. I like this event better than the Toronto Airshow because you can actually see the planes take off and land, plus there are static displays of planes on the ground that you can get close to. At the Toronto airshow - the planes just show up over the lake far far away from the audience.
The following images were all taken with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 - I saw a couple of these cameras out on the landing strip on Sunday. I missed the Sat show - so no Herc or the Sky Hawks.
CP-140 Auoroa
CT-142 Bombardier Dash 8 "Gonzo"
CT-155 Hawk
Jet Aircraft Museum's T-33
Grounded Snowbird
CF-18 at rest
The Royal Canadian Air force had 2 CF-18s on site plus the Snowbirds
The highlight of the show was the Joint Forces Demonstration featuring the Air force and the Army in a combined arms demo.
Just like the scene from "Tropic_Thunder" - ok maybe it is a little smaller explosion than the Tropic Thunder scene. I framed it too wide as I wasn't sure where the explosions were going to be or how low the planes was going to be coming in and I didn't want to miss them.

You got them all in there on that last shot - awesome! Loving that first CP-140 shot as well :) Great shooting!
