Canada Day Fireworks at Harbourfront Centre

This is the first year I have seen the fireworks at Harbourfront Centre - there were always shows out at Ontario Place or east at the Beaches but never at Harbourfront. Of course, there hasn't been fireworks at Ontario Place for years now - especially now that the place is closed.

I hope they continue doing shows at Harbourfront because the fireworks tonight was great! It started a little late but it was worth the wait. Highly recommended for people to go and see.

They are also officially opening the new public spaces that replaced the old parking lot (it has been buried) - so now the top sides are public squares:

Canada Square
From their website: "Featuring 41 metasequoia (dawn redwood) trees, and a scenic lakefront view, Canada Square is destined to become a national landmark of our great country."

Ontario Square
From their website: "With the Ontario boreal forest as its inspiration, Harbourfront Centre's Ontario Square is an open public space for relaxing in the midst of 500 quaking aspen trees, taking in a daytime performance, or enjoying a quiet moment in the evening."

Exhibition Square
From their website:
"Located adjacent to Ontario Square and Canada Square, Harbourfront Centre's new activity area, Exhibition Common, hosts marketplaces, food concessions, recreational activities like yoga and more until the next phase is completed."

Anyways here are some images I captured of the fireworks display.
