Dusk Dance

Dusk Dance was founded by dancer/choreographer Sylvie Bouchard in 1993. DancesDusk Dance had its first showing in Trinity-Bellwoods Park. For the 2013 edition, the Toronto location was Withrow Park. In past years, the show has spawned dance performances in locations such as Ottawa, Peterborough, and Vancouver.

The Withrow Park program features exciting new choreographies, the show starts off with a little musical interlude by Café Con Pan.

Then the shows starts with our host - Dan Watson leading the charge to the first dance.

"Performed by Jessalyn Britton, Francesca Chudnoff, Alexandra Kersley, Jennifer Morse, Natasha Poon Woo, Miya Shaffer and Caileigh Suline The Alice Odyssey (an excerpt) is a dance theatre work that uses athletic feats,an outlandish script, and wild swings of sound to convey the inner turmoil of our favourite childhood stories. Scampering through playful partnering, heavily exaggerated facial gestures, and daring exploits in the setting of Withrow Park, The Alice Odyssey examines the strange, and often violent, maelstrom that lurks in children’s fantasy worlds.
