Honda Indy Fan Friday – Part II
I hope you enjoyed part I of my adventures inside the Pit from Fan Friday at the Toronto Honda Indy in Exhibition Place. If you missed it, you can see my venture with the new Sony SLT-A77 MkII and the Sony 70-200mm f/2.8G SSM II lens – here.
I wanted to follow up with that post with some images from my other camera. For events where I am using a long telephoto lens – I like to bring along a second camera with a wide angle lens for a different view. For this event, the second camera was the Fuji X-T1 with the 18-55 kit lens.
Here are some images from that second camera inside the pit on a practice run with the Acura Sports Car Challenge automobiles.
A practice run with the Indy cars.
After the practice - the cars are towed back to the Paddocks
I guess for some teams, they prefer to push rather than tow the car.
The work doesn't stop just because the cars are not on the track.
This is Lakeshore Ave. the fastest portion of the course - people can only dream about driving full speed down this stretch of road - Indy cars can get up to 250 km / hr in this portion of road.
